Goals 360° Employee Engagement Programme

Balancing Professional and Personal Goals

The Aquarius Coaching Goals 360° Programme is an Employee Engagement Programme consisting of group or one-to-one coaching sessions with an Aquarius Coaching Goals 360° Coach. This type of programme has received much attention and acclaim since the release of “The Dream Manager” by Matthew Kelly, a book outlining how such programmes are transforming companies by:

  • Reducing staff absence and stress levels
  • Lowering recruiting costs, through higher retention
  • Creating a happier, more contented workforce
  • Identifying and nurturing leaders to move the company forward
  • Minimising the effect of personal challenges on work performance

What is the Goals 360° Programme?

Aquarius Coaching’s Employee Engagement Programme, Goals 360°, is uniquely tailored to suit the needs and size of your organisation. The basis of the programme is a monthly appointment with an Aquarius Coaching Goals 360° Coach, either in a group or one-to-one setting.

The programme brings together the participants work and personal goals, increasing their effectiveness in both areas. When your employees feel happy in their personal lives, this reflects in their attitude, motivation and productivity in the workplace.

Initially, the participants complete a questionnaire to assess different aspects of their lives, including career, relationships, recreation and finances. They then work with their coach to establish their short, medium and long term goals. By working with a Goals 360° Coach, participants are held accountable to themselves and their goals, resulting in increased motivation, focused activity and the realisation of their goals.

The Aquarius Coaching Goals 360° Programme can be implemented in many ways and we will work with you to match your company values and desired outcomes to the programme. Every 3 months the Goals 360° Coach meets with the Director, or HR representative in charge of the programme, to discuss it’s effectiveness. The content of all sessions are confidential, however we are happy to discuss and include ideas and feedback to improve the programme as it progresses.


One-to-One Sessions

During the initial one-to-one session, each participant focuses on their completed questionnaire and establishes priorities for achieving their goals. Subsequent sessions consist of:

  • a progress report for the previous month
  • setting new actions
  • addressing particular challenges that may have arisen
  • life skills training (where appropriate and in-line with your company vision for the programme)

Group Sessions

In the first group session, each participant shares their goals and dreams with the Goals 360° Coach and the rest of the group. In this collaborative session, led by the Coach, the group members will listen, ask questions and share ideas with each other. Each participant creates an action plan and is then held accountable to their plan by the Goals 360° Coach and the group.

Subsequent sessions, in addition to the review and setting of new targets and actions, involve a set menu of personal skills training, which can be tailored to suit your organisation. These include:

  • Goals and personal finances
  • Being more effective
  • How you hold yourself back
  • Creating purpose in your life
  • Improving relationships
  • Mapping your future

Which is Best, Group or Face-To-Face?

There is no right or wrong answer here. Different organisations have different cultures and budgets for their employee engagement programmes. The first thing to do is to sit down with us and discuss your requirements and map out a vision for your programme; our experienced team are able to assist you in all aspects of this. Once this is established, we will introduce a pilot programme into your organisation for 6 to 12 members of your staff, for a duration of 4 months. This enables you to gather feedback from the participants and roll out the programme to more of your staff, following the successful pilot.


Is the Programme Aimed Only at Management?

This depends on your organisation’s structure. You can make the programme an exclusive benefit to Management because it adds to the perceived value of these positions within your company. Additionally, the skills your Managers learn during the programme will help them to become better leaders themselves.

If, however, you have a particular problem with staff retention and turnover, (or if you are fortunate enough to need to create employee turnover) it can make sense to deliver the programme to all staff members who wish to participate in it.
